  I have much love for many restaurants, but my favorite restaurant is MattNa Gamja-tang (맛나감자탕). It is on the UN pyeonghwa-ro in Daeyeon Dong. It is a five minute walk from the Daeyeon Subway station exit 5. To begin with, it’s one of the few places in the city that constantly makes great ‘Gamja-tang’, my favorite Korean dish. The interior design is great, with great lighting ample sitting spaces and two private rooms perfect for group meals. This restaurant also has a playroom for the kids. Parents can monitor their children from a screen in the main area. The service in this restaurant is swift, and the ladies serve their customers with joy and charm. The food is fresh, tasty and rich, and the cost of the food is quite pocket friendly! For any Korean cuisine lover, this restaurant promises and delivers a wide variety of Korean food on its menu. Needless to mention but also quite important, there is free parking and candy to freshen your breath after calm your taste buds!

  내가 사랑하는 식당은 여러 군데 있지만, 그 중 가장 좋아하는 음식점은 맛나감자탕이다. 대연동 유엔 평화로에 위치하고 있다. 대연역 5번 출구에서 도보 5분 거리에 위치하고 있다. 사실 맛나감자탕은 내가 가장 좋아하는 한국 음식인 감자탕이 맛있는 부산 식당 중 한 곳으로 훌륭한 조명과 넉넉한 좌석, 단체 손님을 위한 두 개의 룸까지 완벽한 인테리어를 갖추고 있다. 어린이들을 위한 놀이방도 마련되어 있다. 부모들은 눈에 잘 띄는 곳에 위치한 스크린을 통해 자녀들이 뛰어 노는 모습을 지켜볼 수 있다. 음식이 나오는 속도도 빠르고, 직원들은 밝고 친절히 손님을 맞이한다. 음식은 신선하고 맛이 풍부하며 가격도 부담스럽지 않다. 한국 음식을 좋아한다면 다양한 종류의 한식을 맛볼 수 있는 곳이기도 하다. 주차장은 무료이며 식사 후 사탕도 무료로 제공된다!

  Are you a fan of seaweed soup? If not, you will become one if you visit Poongwonjang (풍원장-미역국정찬). Situated in Marine City, a stone's throw away from the sea between Dongbaekseom Island and the Gwangan Bridge, it specializes in flatfish, beef and abalone seaweed soup. My favorite is the beef seaweed soup not only because of its deep flavor but also because of it being void of fish bones and shells and therefore easier to eat than the other two. Prices start from around 13,000 KRW which is good value considering the location of the restaurant, the quality of the ingredients, and the numerous delicious side dishes. The portions are large and sure to leave you satisfied. There have also been some interesting temporary menu items the times I have visited. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating both of which are under roof. Sitting outdoors when the weather is good is highly recommended. It took a lot of convincing to get my mom—who was not a fan of seaweed soup—to try the restaurant, but even she became a quick convert, comparing every other meal she had in Korea last summer to the ones she had at this restaurant.

  미역국을 좋아하는가? 미역국을 좋아하지 않더라도 풍원장-미역국정찬에서는 미역국 팬이 될 수밖에 없을 것이다. 동백섬과 광안대교 사이, 마린시티 해안가 코앞에 위치한 풍원장은 넙치, 소고기, 전복 미역국 전문점이다. 깊은 풍미는 물론, 생선뼈나 조개 껍질이 없어 나머지 두 메뉴보다 먹기 쉬운 소고기 미역국을 나는 가장 좋아한다. 가격은 13,000원부터 시작하는데, 식당의 위치, 재료의 질, 다양하고 맛있는 반찬을 고려해 볼 때 훌륭한 가격이다. 양도 넉넉해서 든든한 한 끼가 될 것이다. 실내·외 모두 좌석이 마련되어 있으며, 야외 좌석에는 지붕이 있어 날이 좋으면 야외에 앉는 것을 추천한다. 미역국을 좋아하지 않는 내 어머니도 미역국의 팬이 되어 지난 여름 드셨던 한국 음식과 풍원장의 모든 음식을 비교하는 경지에 이르렀다.

  Edge993 in Haeundae obviously is one of my best-loved places to relax as well as the place to enjoy a good meal and drink. Likewise, we can see the stunning view of Gwangan Bridge and Haeundae beach from the rooftop. It's open from 11 A.M. to 12 A.M. The menu is almost the same as most cafes in Busan such as various coffee, tea, blended drink and to name a few. One that I liked the most is Sweet potato latte, rare in any cafe in Busan. Even though it is so tasty, still the drink is too sweet for me, thus rebalancing it as you desired isn't a bad idea. So, if you are looking for a place where you can enjoy the stunning view as well as a good meal and drink, Edge993 might be a "must try place" on your list.

  해운대 끝 미포에 위치한 엣지 993은 음식과 음료는 물론, 휴식을 위해서도 내가 가장 사랑하는 곳 중 하나다. 루프탑에서는 광안대교와 해운대 바닷가의 환상적인 경치를 만끽할 수 있다. 영업시간은 오전 11시부터 밤 12시까지이고, 메뉴는 커피, 차, 블렌딩 음료 등 대부분의 카페와 비슷하다. 내가 가장 좋아하는 것은 고구마라떼다. 환상적인 경치, 맛있는 음식과 음료를 즐기고 싶다면 엣지 993이야말로 “반드시 가봐야 하는” 부산의 카페이다.

  OGokDaeJang (오곡대장) is just a culinary oasis of health in a world of starch, sugar and fried food. I usually order the noodles, which are made of 100% buckwheat. After a hike or a lesson at Busan University of Foreign Studies, this really put me in the right mood. As a person who has recently turn vegan, the noodle bowl really doesn't have a lot of meat. I truly enjoyed the Sujebi (수제비; handpulled dough soup), which goes great with the finely brewed barley tea. The customer service and prices are difficult to beat. It's a “sit-on-the-floor” place, so you'll need to take off your sneakers. The friendly owners are always willing to say “hi” in Korean and give you a very friendly welcome.

  오곡대장은 탄수화물, 당, 튀김요리가 가득한 세상의 오아시스와도 같은 존재다. 나는 보통 100% 메밀로 만든 메밀면을 주문한다. 등산이나 부산외국어대학교 수업을 마친 내게는 안성맞춤인 음식이다. 최근 비건이 된 내가 느끼기에도 고기가 거의 없는 음식이다. 나는 건강하게 끓인 보리차와 잘 어울리는 수제비를 무척 좋아한다. 서비스와 가격도 훌륭하다. 좌식 식당이기 때문에 신발을 벗어야 한다. 친절한 사장님은 늘 “안녕하세요” 하는 인사와 함께 따뜻하게 환대해 주신다.

  Value for my money is a key ingredient for me to enjoy a restaurant meal and I have found an eatery in Haeundae that always serve up plenty of it. The small "mom n' pop" place is one block from the Haeundae-gu office. If you are standing facing the Haeundae-gu office, walk to your right (east) on Jungdong 2-ro 10 beon-gil one full block to Jungdong Jangchon gil. The small restaurant is on the northeast corner of this T-intersection. Order the set menu and your table will be filled with a dozen Korean delights for KRW 8000. Not much on ambiance but friendly service and great food.

  내가 식당을 찾는 기준은 합리적인 가격인데, 해운대에서 이를 만족시키는 식당을 몇 군데를 찾았다. 첫 번째 식당은 해운대구청에서 한 블록 떨어진 가정식백반이다. 해운대구청을 마주보고 중동2로 10번길에서 정확히 한 블록 들어가면 위치한 T자 교차로 북동쪽에 바로 이 작은 식당이 위치해 있다. 정식을 시키면 단돈 8천원에 푸짐한 한식을 즐길 수 있다. 분위기가 좋은 곳은 아니지만 친절한 서비스와 맛 좋은 음식이 일품이다.
