As spring finishes and summer draws near we are all living in a new world. To get used to it The Flu and Deranged are great movies that will make us feel like we’ve been lucky. At those times when I get escape isolation I’m looking forward to cooling down with patbingsu and milmyeon and celebrating the warmest days with chicken stew (samgyetang). 

I’m hoping that by the summer we can hike and enjoy the beach with a little freedom as these are my favourite things about Busan. Busan always feels more exciting and brighter during the summer so make sure that you get to try these summer specialities in addition to your regular summer hobbies. 

봄이 끝나고 여름이 찾아오는 이 무렵, 세상은 완전히 바뀌었다. 영화 감기와 연가시는 지금 우리가 얼마나 운이 좋은지 느끼게 해 줄 것이다. 이 자발적 격리 기간이 끝나고 팥빙수와 밀면으로 더위를 식히고 삼계탕을 먹으며 따뜻한 나날을 만끽할 날을 고대하고 있다. 여름이 오면 내가 부산에서 가장 좋아하는 등산과 해변을 즐기며 약간의 자유를 느낄 수 있길 바란다. 부산은 여름이면 더 즐겁고 생기가 도는 곳이다. 그러니 여름에 취미를 즐기면서도 여름에만 할 수 있는 특별한 것들도 시도해 보길 바란다.

These days the world is dealing with a tough situation in fighting the corona virus.  Therefore, it is of upmost importance to first think about your health and the safety of others before traveling or visiting places around the city.  Busan is such an awesome city with so much to offer, but in the present time we need to put our health and safety first. For the articles I provided this month, I wanted to show some places and activities around Busan that are slightly off the beaten path.  From a unique cat village located in Cheongsapo to a fun Stamp Tour activity located at Citizen’s Park, I hope that when it is safe and we are all healthy again everyone can get out and check out some of these interesting places and activities.  

Busan has a charm like no other city and offers unique experiences for everyone.  If you are looking to relax with a cup of coffee and take in the seaside views make sure you venture to Cheongsapo, and if you are lucky you might see some of the local cats that make up the cat village.  And if you are looking for a fun activity to do with the whole family the Stamp Tour is an adventure that will keep you busy for hours. Have a safe and healthy spring and summer in beautiful Busan !

요즈음 전세계가 코로나 바이러스와 힘겨운 사투를 벌이고 있다. 그러니 지금은 부산 곳곳을 둘러보기보다는 본인과 타인의 건강과 안전을 우선시해야 한다. 부산은 볼거리와 즐길거리가 가득한 곳이지만 지금은 건강과 안전을 최우선으로 해야 할 때다.  이번 호 원고에서는 부산 내에서 조금 인적이 드문 곳을 소개하고자 했다. 청사포 고양이 마을부터 부산시민공원 스탬프 투어까지, 사태가 진정되고 모두가 안전하고 건강해지면 밖으로 나가 이 흥미로운 장소들을 둘러보길 바란다.

 다른 도시에는 없는 매력을 갖고 있는 부산은 모두에게 특별한 경험을 선사한다. 커피 한 잔의 여유를 즐기며 바다를 바라보고 싶다면 청사포가 그 해답이다. 운이 좋다면 고양이 마을에서 고양이를 만날 수도 있다. 가족과 함께 즐거운 시간을 보내고 싶다면 몇 시간 동안 바쁘게 돌아다닐 수 있는 스탬프 투어가 좋은 선택이 될 것이다. 아름다운 부산에서 안전하고 건강한 봄여름을 보내시길 !
