12 Languages

「라이프 인 부산(Life in Busan) 통역지원단」

부산시민·외국인주민 170명 발족, 12개 언어 통역상담 제공

  Busan Foundation for International Cooperation held a launch ceremony for 「Life in Busan Interpretatio

n Support Group」 at Busan Eurasia Platform, March 31, and started the interpretation service in 12 langu

ages from April.

부산국제교류재단은 「라이프 인 부산(Life in Busan) 통역지원단」을 지난 3월 31일 부산유라시아플랫폼에서 발대식을 개최하고 4월부터 본격적인 12개 언어 통역상담에 나섰다.

 It is the goal of ‘Life in Busan Interpretation Support Group’ to provide interpretation services through a mo

bile app for foreign residents in Busan. The service features170 people from 17 countries and includes Bu

san citizens who are fluent in a foreign language, and as well as foreign residents fluent in Korean.

‘라이프 인 부산 통역지원단’은 부산 거주 외국인주민을 위한 필수 모바일앱‘라이프 인

부산’의 통역상담 서비스를 지원하기 위해 마련됐으며, 외국어에 능통한 부산시민과 한

국어에 능통한 부산 거주 외국인주민 등 17개국 출신 170명으로 구성됐다.

The support group is ready to help foreign residents in blind spots by providing 

① On-the-phone interpretation ② Chatting and counselling.

 통역지원단은 ‘라이프 인 부산 모바일앱’으로 들어오는 ① 전화통역,

② 채팅상담을 진행하며 일상 생활 속에서 언어의 사각지대에 놓인 외국인주민을 도울

예정이다

 The 12 languages to be provided are ▲English ▲Japanese ▲Chinese ▲Vietnamese ▲Indonesian 

▲Russian ▲Uzbek ▲Mongolian ▲Burmese ▲Cambodian ▲Thai ▲Filipino. The service is open from 

9.a.m. till 9.p.m.

 Anyone can download ‘Life in Busan Mobile App’ from Android and iOS for free. Go to ‘Interpretation Cou

nselling’ and select a language you want, and then try calling/chatting to use the interpretation service of th

e support group.
