Hello. I’m Yoojin Jung, a citizen born and having lived in Busan, and a scuba diving trainer from the diving group NDL. I’m here to lead you into a charming corner of Busan. What comes to your mind when you think about Busan? To Korean people, I believe the answer will be the ocean you can see from Haeundae beach. It’s why the logo of the city is a sea gull.
안녕하세요 저는 부산에서 태어나 현재까지도 부산에서 생활하고 있는 스쿠버 다이빙 단체 NDL에서 강사 트레이너로 활동하고 있는 부산 시민 정유진입니다. 부산을 찾는 여러분들에 게 부산에 대한 또 다른 매력을 소개시켜 드리기 위해 이렇게 준비를 해보았습니다. 여러분은 부산하면 어떤 것이 가장 먼저 떠오르시나요? 한국 인들에게 묻는다면 부산 하면 가장 먼저 떠오르는 것이 바로 해운대 해수욕장을 배경으로 한 바다를 떠올릴 것입니다. 부산광역시의 로고가 갈매기인 이유가 바로 여기에 있겠죠.

This ocean-friendly city provides the perfect environment to enjoy various water sports. Korea has four seasons that are all awesome to enjoy water sports in, but the relatively warm temperature in Busan except in Winter is a great geographical advantage. This is why many people in Busan enjoy skin scuba diving. It is one of the charming aspects Busan has regardless of your experience in scuba diving. Skin scuba diving gives you a chance to enjoy both the land and ocean of Busan, diving into the open sea. Skin scuba diving is a sport to appreciate all the beauty of each area and it will be an unforgettable experience to look around Busan’s marine environment that is different to the colorful tropical beauty.
I’d like to recommend Taejongdae Gamji beach in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, to try your first skin scuba diving. Gamji beach, famous for its beautiful nature and round pebbles, is frequently visited by the local people as well. Many diving shops around the beach provide good service as well as diving lessons.
이처럼 바다를 가까이 하고 있는 도시라 여러가지 해양 레포츠를 즐기기 좋은 환경을 가지고 있습니다. 사실 한국은 4계절이 뚜렷한 기후를 가지고 있어 4계절 모두 해양스포츠를 즐 기기에 불리한 지역임은 사실이지만, 겨울을 제외한 계절에는 따뜻한 부산의 기후가 지역적으로 많은 도움이 됩니다. 이러한 이유로 많은 사람들이 바다 스포츠 중 하나인 스킨 스쿠버를 적극적으로 즐기고 있습니다. 부산을 찾는 여러분 중 스킨스쿠버를 경험 해본, 그렇지 않은 분들 모두에게 추천드리고 싶은 부산의 매력 중 하나라 생각합니다. 스킨 스쿠버 장비 를 갖춰 부산 앞바다에 직접 뛰어 들어 부산의 육지, 바다 모두를 경험해 볼 수 있는 멋진 기회가 될 것 입니다. 스킨 스쿠버는 지역마다 아름다운 특색을 보고 즐기는 스포츠이므로 화려한 열대 지방의 아름다움과는 다른 부산 특유의 바다환경 역시 잊지 못 할 기억을 선사할 것입니다. 부산에서 스킨스쿠버 도전하고 싶으시다면 부산광역시 영도구에 위치한 태종대 감지해변을 추천 드리고 싶습니다. 감지 해변은 뛰어난 자연환경과 몽돌로 이루어진 해변이 유명한 곳이라 지역민들 역시 자주 찾는 곳입니다. 또한 해변 가까이 위치한 여러 다이빙 샵에서는 다이빙 교육과 더불어 좋은 서비스를 제공할 것입니다.

It is not that easy to dive at the beginning on Gamji beach, famous for round pebbles. But once you go into the water, you can see the marine life from small fish to octopus, shrimp, clams, and big flatfish, particularly in summer, which is their spawning season. It is also very fun to dive at night to see the marine environment different to what it is like during the day. It is a geographical advantage that it is close enough to urban living area for the local divers to enjoy diving and go back home in one day. Another reason to visit is for the famous grilled clams, if you like seafood. It would be a great moment to have dinner in the cool ocean breeze. I recommend Hyungje-seom Island and Oe-seom Island for those who have enough time. It will give you a chance to enjoy the fantastic ocean view unless you are pressed with a tight schedule.
몽돌로 유명한 감지 해변이니만큼 다이빙의 시작이 쉬운 편 은 아닙니다. 하지만 일단 입수 후에는 작은 고기 때부터 문어, 새우, 조개류 등 특히 여름 넙치 산란 철에는 산란하러 온 대형 넙치도 발견 하실 수 있습니다. 야간 다이빙을 통해 낮과는 또 다른 바다환경을 즐기는 것 또한 재미있는 경험입니다. 일상에 바쁜 지역 다이버들도 하루 일과를 마치고 야간 다이빙을 즐긴 후 귀가할 수 있는 지역적 이점을 가지고 있기도 하구요. 조개구이로 유명한 곳이기도 해서 맛있는 해산물을 좋아하신다면 시원한 바다 바람과 함께 하는 저녁도 좋은 기억으로 남을 것 입니다. 만약 시간이 좀더 있다면 보트를 타고 갈수 있는 형제섬, 외섬을 추천 드립니다. 짧은 여행기간이 여러분의 발목을 잡지 않는다면 정말 환상적인 바다 환경을 볼 수 있는 곳 입니다.

The best thing you can get from skin scuba diving is that you can see something the others cannot.
